Fees & Practicalities

We are committed to providing you with the best service we can and work hard to ensure that we are able to meet your needs in the most convenient and flexible way possible. To do this we are based in several locations around central London. We also offer a flexible range of appointment times that include evenings and weekends. For clients who are not able to attend one of our clinics we also offer zoom/teams and email therapy, which has the added benefit of cutting out travelling time for you and can be useful for those struggling with mobility difficulties. Furthermore, unlike many mainstream public services we are able to offer a prompt appointment and therapy will be available to you for the length of time you feel you need it.

Attendance and missed appointments

Unless agreed otherwise, appointments will occur once a week at a specified time that is convenient for both client and therapist.

If you are unable to attend and you let your therapist know you cannot attend a scheduled appointment, your therapist will try to fit you into an alternative slot in the same week subject to availability. It will also be possible to rebook your appointment into a later week if preferable. The normal fee will apply if an appointment is rebooked.

There may be times when something happens at the last minute and you find you have missed an appointment without letting your therapist know. If this occurs please contact your therapist as soon as you are able to, so that they know whether you wish to continue the sessions and to confirm or cancel the next appointment(s).

Late arrival

If you arrive late your therapist will try to see you and use the remaining session time as productively as possible. However, please accept that your session will be shorter as your therapist will not be able to run over time without making others wait.

Cancellations

Please note that due to room booking requirements your therapist will be operating with a 48-hour cancellation policy. This means that cancellations that are made more than 48 hours before the therapy appointment will be free of charge, whilst any appointments that are cancelled with less than 48 hours will be charged in full. If you need to cancel an appointment, please contact your therapist as soon as possible using the contact details provide by your therapist.

Fee

Unless agreed otherwise, your therapy appointment will last just under an hour and the fee per therapy session for individual therapy is £160 to see one of our chartered psychologists. For couples, the therapy session will last one hour and the fee will be £180 per therapy session. City and West Psychology offer some low cost sessions at a rate of £80 -£110 per hour. These sessions are offered for the clients on low incomes with Dashmir Thaci and Ryan Marcovich who are experienced psychotherapists. The fee will be payable in cash upon arrival or bank transfer prior to the appointment. It will be possible for you to pay for more than one session at the time should you wish to. Your therapist will provide you with their full bank details. We also offer a limited amount of low cost sessions. Please contact City and West Psychology to discuss this option further.

Making contact

We understand that taking the decision to seek therapeutic support can be difficult and that picking up the phone and making contact can feel like a challenge at times. We are therefore more than happy for you to first contact us via our online contact form. We believe that making contact with our service could provide a potential turning point in your life and we will do all that we can to accommodate your individual needs. When you first contact us we will ask you to provide some practical information such as your name, contact details, current difficulties, and where and when you would like to be seen. This will allow us to match you with a therapist that we believe can serve your individual needs. Following this, we will offer you a brief free of charge telephone assessment to explore your current difficulties further and to discuss how we might be able to help. At the end of this call you will be given the choice to commence therapy, and if you decide that you would like to go ahead with this then we will invite you in for a full assessment.
